Jean-Christophe Polgar | Kikothegnou & Silvergnou (France) - iPhonegraphy / analog photography
Quiet, curious and playful, Jean-Christophe Polgar aka Kiko the gnou, is a Parisian architect passionate on the photography. Electric, romantic and evocative, he wishes to find through the photography some original meaning of the real world, to “glorify and light up what seems insignificant or common, in using ancient and modern pictorial codes” as Novalis says. He started shooting with his iPhone during summer 2010 and shared his iPhoneography on his Tumblr GnouPhoneography. After getting a small Pentax ME super and two lenses, he went back to silver photography that you can find on his Tumblr Silver Stories. (Interview with artist by ARTchipel May-2012)
